    • The safari begins in Swakopmund, travelling along the Atlantic coastline (Skeleton Coast), then through the Namib Desert to the Damaraland. The next days are spent camping in the wilderness. Enjoy the overwhelming landscapes of the Marienfluss, let yourself be enchanted by the Ovahimba tribes as well as herds of game, such as Oryx, springbok, giraffe and the desert elephant. Travelling back to Swakopmund via the rock engravings and Burnt Mountain at Twyfelfontein.

    • Travel from Swakopmund along the Atlantic Coastline (Skeleton Coast), view the Welwitschia fields and enter the unspoilt canyons of the Ugab and Huab river. Good chances of sighting the desert elephant and black rhino. Three nights camping, the next nights at the rustical Palmwag Lodge in Damaraland. A day excursion to Sesfontein and the surrounding area. Early morning departure takes us back to Swakopmund via Twyfelfontein to visit the rock engravings and the Burnt Mountain.

    • The tour starts at a lodge in the Damaraland, travelling into the Kaokoland to several Ovahimba villages and to the amazing Epupa Falls on the mighty Kunene River. Spend the nights camping on the banks of the Kunene River. Nature walks to explore the vicinity of the falls. The last day takes us back to your lodge via Fort Sesfontein and surrounding areas.

Possible encounters with the famous desert elephant in the Hoarusib and Hoanib river. After these highlights, the journey takes us back via Fort Sesfontein and surrounding area.

    • From Windhoek we travel via Waterberg into the formerly known Bushmanland. Spend a day with the San. We continue to explore the untouched game of the Kaudom Game Reserve, visit the Popa rapids, as well as the water-rich area of the Caprivi/ Kwando. Fantastic game- and bird watching in Bwabata Game Park. The return journey takes us via Rundu, the Okavango, back to Windhoek.

    • From Windhoek we will be visiting Namibia's south on this combination tour (camping & lodging) which takes us from the Kalahari- to the Namib Desert in 11 Days. You will get to know the beauties of both deserts and after a two day visit to Swakopmund, we return to Windhoek again.

• Not included in rate:
  • Additional medical- and travelling insurances,
  • Additional accommodation, activities, Personal extras, e.g. drinks in restaurants/lodges, telephone, gratuities etc.
• 'What to bring’:
  • Desert Adventure Safaris makes use of fully-equipped 4x4 vehicles specially adapted to suit our camping safaris, supplying the entire camping equipment as well as comfortable igloo tents, sleeping rolls (comfortable mattresses with bedding and a towel).
  • We also cater for three meals a day, including all soft drinks and alcoholic beverages during the camping tour except when stated otherwise.
  • You only need to bring your personal items, sunblock, mosquito repellent, hat, swimsuit, camera, binoculars, torch, a pair of comfortable walking-shoes as well as a good mood.
  • For the mild winter, light summer clothes will be efficient during the day. Do not forget to take something warm for the chilly evenings; a tracksuit and windbreaker are ideal for camping safaris. For the rest of the year we recommend light clothes, which are not 'dust sensitive'.
• Conditions:
  • At confirmation of reservation, a 25% non-refundable deposit of the tour price is payable. The booking will be confirmed after receipt of the deposit. The difference must be paid at least 30 days prior to the departure date.
  • Bank transfers must please be made in South African Rand (1:1 to the Namibian Dollar). Please fax the copy of the transfer to us.
  • If a cancellation is done within 19-35 days prior to tour start 30% of the tour price, 11-18 Days 60% is payable. If the cancellation is done within 11 days of tour start, the full tour price is payable.
• Luggage:
  • PLEASE NO SUITCASES! Light/Soft travelling bags up to 20kg are easier to store.
• Kindly note:
  • Tour departures on request, minimum two participants.
  • Please inform us if you are diabetic, vegetarian etc.
  • Malaria-Prophylaxes is recommended for Namibia's North.
